Obituary

Willie Gus Thomas was born on August 2, 1945 in Alabama. He was called to be with the Lord on August 10, 2020 at the age of 75 while at Grand Hospital in Columbus, OH.

Willie retired from Nationwide Insurance where he served as an administrator for many years. He also served as a U.S. Marine. Willie was a faithful member of Travelers Rest Baptist Church where he served as a faithful Deacon, Trustee and Sunday School teacher. Throughout the years, he also served various other ministries. Willie was also a Mason of Oliver Lodge #9 where he served many years alongside his brother in various roles.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; Mary Francis Thomas, Susie E. Campbell and three brothers: Jessie Thomas, Jr., Floyd Thomas and Jimmie Thomas.

Willie leaves to cherish his precious memory: Christine Thomas, his loving wife of 48 years; two sons: Frank Harris, Christopher Harris; three grandsons: Shawn Harris, Jared Harris, Keyon Burgess; tow sisters: Florean Thomas, Lavella (JB) Williams; one brother: Andrew (Diane) Thomas. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
