Thomas E. Caliman

Mr. Thomas Caliman is founder and co-owner of Caliman Funeral Services and is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer.  Mr. Caliman is a graduate of the Indiana College of Mortuary Science, in Indianapolis, IN. and he attended Central State University in Wilberforce, OH.  He is well-known and respected throughout the State of Ohio as a funeral professional, with a wealth of demonstrated experience and knowledge in funeral operations, pre-planning, memorial services, preparation of the remains, burial, administration, purchasing and sales.  Thomas served two years in the U.S. Army’s 1st and 54th Infantry Divisions.  He and wife, Barbara, have three children.  

Barbara A. Caliman

Ms. Barbara Caliman is co-owner of Caliman Funeral Services and the wife of Thomas Caliman.  She currently serves as Business Administrator of the firm.  Ms. Caliman has attended Ohio University of Zanesville and Zane State College in Zanesville, OH.  Prior to joining the Caliman firm, Barbara was employed at the Muskingum County Department of Human Services.  She loves serving Christ and others, including her family, and enjoys listening to, singing and playing inspirational music. She possesses a passion for children and spends much of her spare time (which is not much) working in youth.

J. Richard Caliman

Richard Caliman is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the State of Ohio.  He currently serves as CEO of Caliman Funeral Services.  Born and raised in Zanesville, OH.  Richard has worked in various capacities in the funeral industry since 1997.  He holds a BS Degree in Psychology from Clarion University in Clarion, PA and an AA Degree in Mortuary Science from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in Cincinnati, OH.  Richard joined the CFS staff in 2004.  He is licensed to sell Final Expense Funeral Arrangements and he has assisted in selling monuments.  Richard states that he “counts it a privilege” to serve families in all of the capacities that he operates.  Richard resides in Pickerington, Ohio and is father to three daughters, Mecca, Kenya, and Paris.

Raymonia Lacy

Raymonia Lacy has served as Caliman Funeral Services Business Manager since October, 2017.  She graduated with honors from Ohio Dominican University with a BA Degree in Business Administration and she holds a certification in Paralegal Studies from the Academy of Court Reporting.  Outside of assisting with the daily operations and behind the scenes management activities at CFS, Raymonia enjoys spending time with family, friends and fellow parishioners at her church.  She thrives when serving others, no matter the reason or capacity, and she finds it rewarding when helping people overcome their obstacles and life-related challenges.  During her own times of trials and discomfort, she holds on to the passage in God’s word, which states:  “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:13 KJV).  Raymonia holds an interest in photography, hiking and culinary arts.                

David M. Crookshank

David Crookshank has worked in various behind the scene capacities at Caliman Funeral Services since 2011. He currently serves in an administrative capacity keeping our electronic files, records and website accurate and current. He is a graduate of Ashland University with additional training from 3M, Wilson Learning and The Sandler School. He has a diverse background in management, counseling, customer service, sales, marketing, administration, security and sales. David has a calling for servant ministry and enjoys helping others in their time of need. In his spare time, away from work, David invests his time in his five children, raising them to be the best kingdom citizens he can.

Sylvester Lee Harrington, Jr.

Sylvester Harrington.  Sylvester Harrington founded the Harrington Limousine Services in 1999 and he currently serves as the primary limo driver at Caliman Funeral Services.  Additionally, Mr. Harrington has performed a variety of ancillary functions for our firm.  He is the eldest son of eight children and attended Bexley High School before joining the armed forces (Naval branch).  “Silky” is currently retired, after 30 years of service, from Laborers’ District Council and Contractors of Ohio, through Laborers International Union of North America Local 423 AFL CIO.  He and his wife, Freda, enjoy spending time with family and traveling. When Silky is not busy with his many and diverse duties, he enjoys watching and attending various sporting events.
