Bom-Wrapper

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Cassandra McDonald can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

my Momma Cass

I was three years old when my mother joined the Apostolic Christian Church.  I have no idea if Cass was a part of it or not, but the only memories I have are with her and about her.  She was 'big' in every sense of the word.  She loved music and teaching it - every chance she got!  I babysat for Cass and Nathan and cleaned house and cooked. . . .their son Benjamin was born on my birthday!    When I started singing in the choir, it was Cass that found out that I was a soprano. . . .but I loved singing the alto parts.   And, when we were at the church on 7th St., I was a part of a small group that did a sign language song.  My mom did sign language during the services and I thought that it was cool to have another way to communicate.  We even taught momma Cass some of the sign language.

To Leah, Nathan, Joseph, Benjamin and Micah - and Naa and Ashley - you have a big beautiful family - one that extends almost all boundaries.  Please, if you need something. . .even if it is just a shoulder to cry on, please call.  Of this I am sure - anyone who knew your Mom, loved her tremendously, not limited to just me. . . . .  I love you too.

Momma Cass - until we meet again. . . . .
