Deacon Essie Mae Bowman, 90, of Columbus, OH peacefully departed this life on April 28th 2017 at her home with her family at her bedside. Devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Nellie Williams, husband of 59 years Deacon James Melvin Bowman. Survived by two loving daughters, Linda Williams and Wanda (Kenny) Lewis; grandson, Ryan C. Harley; sister, Lillian Merchant; and a host of family and friends. Celebration of Life Friday, May 5th, 2017 7pm, First Church of God, 3480 Refugee Rd, Bishop Timothy J.
