Dr. Chandra (Johnson) Bell was born July 23, 1969 and passed from earth to eternity on April 28, 2017. Dr. Bell graduated Beechroft High School and earned an Associate’s degree in Social Services Technology from Columbus State Community College, a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Capital University, Master’s Degree in Community Agency Counseling from the University of Dayton; and a Ph. D in Higher Education Administration from Ohio University. She served as the Director of Career Services and an adjunct instructor at Columbus State Community College. Dr. Bell previously served as a Career Program Instructor at the Center For New Directions and as an adjunct instructor at The University of Dayton in the Graduate School of Education and Allied Professions Program. Prior to her career in higher education, Dr. Bell worked for nearly a decade in the financial industry.

Dr. Bell was the First Lady of the Triumphant Church of God in Westerville, Ohio and was previously a dedicated member of the First Church of God, Columbus, OH.

Dr. Bell was proceeded in death by her daughter, Sierra Nicole Bell; grandparents, Moses and Annie L. Johnson; and father-in-love, Tom Bell, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 21 years, Pastor Vaughn Bell, and two daughters, Sydney and Kyndall; mother, Earlene Johnson; siblings, Lee (Kelley) Johnson, Touynda (Freddie) Smith, Yolanda Johnson, Mavis (Alec) Roberts, Michael (Tracy) Johnson; mother-in-love, Judith Bell; brother-in-laws, Victor (Alicia) Bell, Vernon (Andrea) Bell; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral service for Dr. Bell will be held Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the First Church of God, 3480 Refugee Rd, Columbus, OH. Calling hours 5 p.m., Funeral service 6 p.m. Bishop Timothy J. Clarke presiding.

Internment Monday, May 8, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Green Lawn Cemetery, 1000 Green Lawn Ave, Columbus, OH.
