Donna J.   Griffin
Donna Jean Griffin was born on September 7, 1960, age 54, of Columbus,Ohio. She passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at her home under hospice care after after a Lengthy illness. She is now at peace with the Lord! She was Preceded in death by her mother Doris Palmer, father Donald Palmer, Leon Groce long time companion. She is survived her sons: Anurese (Karla) Griffin and Nikita ( LaKisha) Groce; grandchildren: Soloh Griffin, Ariya Groce, Jaiya Groce and Kylan Groce; stepfather: Norwood Faison,; brothers Anthony (Shenice) Palmer, Donald (Mary) Palmer, Rodney (Lisa) Palmer, Andre (Erica) Palmer; sister Kalin (Ira Graham) Palmer; sisters-in-law: Diane Groce, Sylvia Groce, Shelly Kendrick and Sherry McCullough, all of Columbus, Ohio; brother-in-law: Darryl (Diane) Groce, Zanesville, Ohio, special aunts: Aunt Dorothy "Pep" Mack and Aunt Lois Cummings: and a host of relatives and friends.Donna graduated from South High School in 1979, and attended Ohio University before beginning her career with White Castle. Before retiring from White Castle, Donna spent 20t years supervising, training and managing numerous stores. She will always remembered as someone who mentored many new employees. Because of Donna, many people were blessed with White Castle being their first job. Donna's big heart did not stop there, as a night auditor with the Hilton Hotel group, she was more than gracious with her family benefits. She truly had a servant's heart which was demonstrated when she served as a Hospitality Team member, at Kingdom Christian Center, often serving immediate after having worked the night before. She kept the family abreast of all those that were sick and shut-in, always made it a point to make hospital visits, and kept everyone up-to-date on family member's status. Donna was very committed to her sons and grandchildren and will always be known for her love of family, never saying"No" and sweet soul!
