Obituary for WILLIE HAMPTON Jr.

Willie Hampton, Jr. was born in Montgomery Alabama on March 14, 1956 to Bertha Wilkins and Willie Hampton, Sr.
At the age of seven, Willie moved to Columbus, Ohio to be raised by his Father, Willie Hampton, Sr. and Step–Mother Catherine Hampton. Willie was the oldest son in a family of seven siblings.
Willie attended East High School and at the age of 18, he enlisted in The United States Armed Forces, branch of the Navy. Wille was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia where he led his own platoon, and served his country with honor. Willie was later employed at CSI Construction , Lindsey Restaurant (where he was serving the public for 10 years) and had become a small business owner and operated his own fruit stand.
Our gracious savior called Willie home on Thursday, November 19, 2020. Wille was preceded in death by his father Willie Hampton, Sr., Bridgette Henderson (Niece), and Deontae Dua’n Henderson (Great Nephew).
He leaves to cherish so many wonderful memories: his wife of 29 years Veronica Cooper–Hampton. Three loving sons: Steffon Townsend, Armon Hampton, and Christon Hampton. Four loving sisters: Cassandra Griffin (Akron, Oh), Bertha Hampton, Gloria (Hampton) Dupree, and Annie Mathews (All of Columbus, Oh). Two loving brothers: Calvin Smith and Kenneth Hampton (both of Columbus, Oh), and host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
