Obituary for Vanessa Lee’Anne Marie Smith

Vanessa Lee’Anne Marie Smith was born in Columbus, Ohio, on Monday, July 23, 2007, at The OSU Hospital. She was the daughter of Alisha Callahan and William Lee Smith, Sr. and the third child of thirteen. Vanessa was a loving daughter,
granddaughter, sibling, niece, cousin, and friend. She was most noted as the favorite cousin to many.

Known as “Nessa” to all her loved ones, Vanessa was educated at Watkins Elementary, Buckeye Middle School, and
currently, was a nineth grade student at South High School. Vanessa’s passion was the game of Basketball. She also had an amazing gift in Art. Her talent was phenomenal. Mr. Tom Revo, her elementary school principal, and loving guidance counselor, Ms. Tecca Thompson, were very instrumental in her development. Vanessa enjoyed collecting stuffed animals, dancing, laughing, and making TikTok videos. Nessa enjoyed the company of her best friend, Erica, outside of Columbus, Ohio.

GONE TOO SOON . . . Our beloved Vanessa “Nessa” Smith entered eternal rest on Sunday, September 18, 2022. She was fifteen years of age. Vanessa was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Fred L. Smith and Katherine (Robert) Williams; maternal grandparents, Phillips Washington and Edward Callahan; paternal uncles, Lee W. Smith, James Savannah, and Robert Williams; maternal uncles, John Tompkins and Thomas Washington; cousins, “Yonzell” Nook
Williamson III and Michael Carter.

Loving memories are cherished by her mother, Alisha Callahan; father, William (Timia) Smith, Sr.; grandparents, Vanessa (Eric) Sims, William Chubb, Ruth Washington, Ernest Walton, and Robin Walton; siblings, William Smith Jr., Tirese Kelso,
Jayvion Smith, Lee W.
