Obituary

On Thursday, October 29, 2020, Troy Terrell Calhoun, loving husband and father of three children passed away at age 47. Troy was born on September 16, 1973 to John Edward White and Cecelia Marcia Calhoun. Troy enjoyed reading his Bible, watching trains, listening to music, and spending time with his family. On July, 07 2007, he married Felicia Calhoun the love of his life. Troy had a passion for learning about the Word of God and would spend hours reading/breaking down scriptures. It was not uncommon to find Troy parked near the railroad tracks watching trains with his children. Troy worked in retail for many years and ran a small business.

Troy was preceded in death by his father, John, Reverend A.J. and Maggie Andrews (great-grandparents), Joan Nelms (grandmother), Garry Andrews (uncle), Cheryl Calhoun (aunt), Johnnie Nelms Jr. (uncle), Martha Nelms (aunt). He is survived by his wife Felicia, his three children, Isaiah, Joshua, and Alexandria, his mother Cecelia (Willie) Nelms, his brother Ryan (Sheena) Perry, Latonia Stevens (aunt), Michael Calhoun (uncle), Antoine (Rhochelle) Nelms (uncle), Denise White (aunt), Marvin White (uncle) and two close friends Brother David Wilson and Sister Annette Little and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

    Notes
PLEASE READ BEFORE VISITATION... During this time of the pandemic, we understand the complexities of wanting to honor your loved one and allowing friends and relatives to show their support. While it is important to us to honor the request of a family, we must also adhere to State of Ohio mandates when it comes to public and private gatherings. The protocols Caliman Funeral Services have put in place will make it not only manageable but still allow for visitation services to be meaningful. To give those who wish to visit with the family and view their loved one we allow no more than twenty guests at a time to process into the facility. This is to sign the register book, state your condolences to the family, view your loved one and exit the building. It is our goal to make this less stressful for family and friends, maintain the integrity and honoring the family during a difficult time, and being in compliance concerning the mandates of the State of Ohio. Thank you for your understanding and patience. Caliman Funeral Services

Brother Troy will be truly missed. We, the members of But Now Fellowship, want the family to know that our hearts are with you. Our sincere prayer is that the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
When it is all over we would like you to remember:
Although you may not get to see him again, you can still share his vision.
Although you may not get to feel his heart beat again, you can continue to spread his love.
Although you may not get to walk with him again, you can still carry on his legacy.

Grace and Peace!
