Obituary for THOMAS AZEL MURRAY Jr.

Thomas Azel Murray, Jr. went home to glory on May 2, 2020. Thomas was born to Thomas A. Murray, Sr. and Wahnetta R. (Murray) Black on April 26, 1950. He was a 1967 graduate of Marion-Franklin High School and attended Ohio State University, Columbus State Community College and Argosy University. Thomas was a talented and passionate artist who began creating original cartoon characters while still in high school. Tom loved the Martial Arts and achieved the rank of Master in Taekwondo. Thomas was predeceased by his mother Mrs. Wahnetta R. Black, father Dr. Thomas A. Murray, Sr. of Ramah, New Mexico, sister Dr. Carolyn M. Murray-Davis, brother Raymond S. Murray, and niece Eboni Love-Marie Murray-Davis. He is survived by his step-father John E. Black, Jr. of Columbus, OH and sisters, Aurelia V. Murray of Powder Springs, GA and Johnetta E. Black (Anthony Smith) of Mableton, GA. Thomas is also survived by his brother-in-law, Paul Davis (Dr. Carolyn Murray-Davis) of Columbus, Ohio as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
