Obituary for SHERIDAN ANTHONY KERRIN

Sheridan Anthony Kerrin "Shorty", 78, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully caressing the hand of his youngest daughter Tonya Kerrin at Mount Carmel East Hospital. Shorty was born in Philadelphia, PA to the parents of Lawrence L. Kerrin and Lucille Scott-Howard. He was one of eight children, Theresa Williams, Larry Kerrin (deceased), Renee (Sam) Blow, Audrey Kerrin (deceased), Yvonne Alston (deceased), Anton (Delores) Kerrin and Todd (Pam) Kerrin. Shorty was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin HS; he served in the Air Force as a Military Police Officer, a USPS mail carrier, self-taught remodeler, painter, cook/chef and much more. As a young man he was commissioned to paint store windows at Christmas in his hometown of Philadelphia. He loved to draw at a very young age he painted a mural on his bedroom wall that amazed his family. Shorty was creative, fun loving; he was a man of many sayings and jokes clean and not so clean. He was the lead for an all-male group in Columbus, OH called the Enticers who opened for groups in the likes of The Chi-Lites, Temptations, Moments, Whisper’s, Four Tops and more when coming to Columbus at the Veterans Memorial and the Valley Dale. We could go on and on of his accomplishments big and small. His greatest was being a father to four loving children, Toni (Litt) Howard, Tracy (Richard) Bloom, Tonya Kerrin and Anton (Carolyn) Kerrin; whom he leaves to cherish his memories as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and more. We will always hold dear the light he was to us all. Shine bright as you can too, he would want nothing less of you.
