Obituary for Sandra Lee Jones (Wooten)
Sandra Lee Jones went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 17, 2021. Sandra was born on April 13,1947 in Akron, Ohio to the late Cecil Fredrick and Harriett Emily (Chandler) Wooten. In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her bothers Terrance Wooten, Cecil Wooten and Gary Wooten and sister Rosetta Eloise Gomer; brother-in-law Mark Hill and sister-in-law Linda Wooten. Sandra is survived by her husband Paul W. Jones her high school sweetheart with whom she shared over 53 years of marriage; her loving children Monica S. Jones of Columbus and Paul E. Jones of Zanesville;
her granddaughter Langstyn M. Jones of Zanesville; siblings Carolyn (Gene) Berry, Janice “Jackie” Hill both of Columbus, Ohio and Kenneth (Sondra) Wooten of Zanesville. She was blessed with an extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She has several individuals who were special to her including Lisa Ayres, Kathy Dickinson, Barbara Howe, JoAnn Evans, Sylvia Bordley, Flo Etta O’Neal and Betty Hodge; and her four-legged friend Beau. Sandra was a gifted seamstress (former owner of Closet To Closet) who was last employed by Muskingum County Head Start but had shared talents with Royal Cleaners and Adams Lane Care Center. Sandra will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She never met a stranger and was a joy to be around. Even in the throes of Alzheimer’s Disease, she was focused on her faith and family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association of Central Ohio, 1379 Dublin Road, Columbus, OH 43215.
