Obituary for ROGER CARPENTER

ROGER CARPENTER was born in Columbus, Ohio, on Sunday, August 4, 1957. He received his formal education from Columbus City Schools and was a proud graduate of East High School. Following graduation, Roger enlisted in the
United States Marine Corps. He was honorably discharged, after serving his country well. Roger worked as a laborer and
was employed with Fine Cast and other various companies in Columbus, Ohio.

Roger loved the Lord and was a member of New Birth Christian Ministries. He was very active in the Prayer Warrior Ministry. He daily posted prayers and words of encouragement on Facebook.

In his leisure, Roger enjoyed his fishing trips, bowling, and listening to a wide array of music: Gospel, R&B, and Country. He was the family D.J. Moreover, Roger had a special talent for writing poetry and repairing computers. Roger found great joy in attending the Carpenter Family Reunions. However, his greatest joy and love were his wife and children. Our beloved Roger Carpenter entered eternal rest on Sunday, January 8, 2023. He was sixty-five years of age. Roger was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Carpenter and brother, Willie Carpenter.

Loving memories are cherished by his wife of thirty-five years, Elia Cazelle Carpenter; daughters, Maria Ba, Shavone Montgomery; son, HaKim Holly and Roger J. Carpenter; children-in-love, Michelle, Felicia, Eugenia, Anthony, Martrell, and Christopher; sister, Sandra Carpenter; special brother, Larry Nallie; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and dear friends. ROGER WILL TRULY BE MISSED.
