Obituary for ROBERT LOUIS PAGE

Robert L. Page, son of the late John and Emma Page, was born on February 28, 1929 in Pineville, Mississippi. He was one of ten children. Robert accepted Jesus Christ at an early age at Galilee Baptist Church in Mississippi. At the age of twenty-two Robert was drafted by the United States Army and was honorably discharged.

Robert moved to Columbus, Ohio as a young man and joined Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where he served faithfully for over 60 years. He was a member of the Male Chorus and joined his fellow members in singing at churches around Central Ohio. Robert also worked at Coady Construction later retiring from Jess Howard Electrical. He loved fishing, hunting, the Circleville Pumpkin Show, and the annual Page Family reunions. He was dedicated to his family and poured love into his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Robert leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 45 years, Barbara Ann Page, of Union, South Carolina; his only son Jerry Page; daughters Mary (Maurice) Sampson, Wyvonne Page, Judy Page and Rosita Primrose; 17 grandchildren, 24 great- grandchildren, 12 great- great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, long-time friend Bobbie Joe Bester and all those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by parents John and Emma Page; siblings John Wesley Page, Ernest Page, Charlie Page, Mary DeBerry, Frances Crockett, Jessie Page, Bonnie Moseley, Ellen Sams and Sadie Russell; and daughter Barbara Carter.

Robert was known for his faith, hard work, integrity, humor and quick-wittedness. His ninety-two years of life on this Earth are certainly worth celebrating! He was granted everlasting peace on May 5, 2021.
