PASTOR PATRICIA ANN STRICKLAND was born Sunday, January 27, 1946, in Winston Salem, North Carolina. She was a graduate of Kimball High School, West Virginia, and a graduate of Columbus State Community College with an associate degree in Psychology. She was the Founding Pastor of Grace and Peace Ministries. Pastor Strickland was truly a prayer warrior. In her leisure, she loved to fish and was an avid bowler. She was also known for her dancing skills.

Blessed with 74 years of life, our beloved Pastor Patricia Ann Strickland was called from labor to eternal rest on Sunday, May 3, 2020. She was preceded in death by Helen Smith, Clifton Johnson, Hallie Simpson, and Sandra Hoyle.

Loving memories are cherished by her children, Hallie “Dina” Y. (Ray) Hale, Sr., Sandra “Dodie” J. Finney, and Patrick I. Mitchell; grandchildren, Ray C. (Shayla) Hale Jr., Arie Hale, Adriana D. Hale, and Raylon J. Hale, Cameron A. Bondurant, Patrick I. Mitchell Jr., Patra I. Mitchell, Payton I. Mitchell, Patri-Yana I. Mitchell, Shayana P. Carter, Taylor Mitchell, Prophet I. Mitchell, and Tupac I. Mitchell; great grandchildren, Ray “Quick” C. Hale III, Raeana T. Hale, Nevaeh “Muffin” R. Bondurant, Noel “Cupcake” L. Bondurant, Elijah J. Mayo-Cossin, Jeremiah K. Mitchell, Taliyah C. Mitchell, Joshua A. Sharp II, Josiah A. Sharp, Za’riya N. Sharp, Joseph A. Sharp, Zymeria N. Sharp, and Leilani A. Carter; brother, Clifton McCullom of Winston Salem, North Carolina; and brother- in-law, Reed Hoyle.

Pastor Strickland is also survived by nieces, Helen “Missy” M. Finney and Clarissa “Crissy” A. Peoples; nephew, Michael R. Hoyle; cousin, Tona Mitchell; godsons, Rondell White and Sean Anderson; goddaughter, Schiquita Scott; adopted granddaughter, Sondra L. Hale; a host of other relatives and friends; including Sister Charlene A. Wright, Sister Jo Harris-Fagan, Sister Loretta Leonard, Sister Eula Martin, and Sister Sarah Berkeley.
