He loved playing basketball, baseball, playing pool and golf. He was a great friend and conversationalist. He loved watching sports. Additionally, spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren gave him tremendous joy and happiness. “Paw Paw” as called by the grands had a special connection of protection and getting away with a lot.  He spent time talking with the Lord and listening to his favorite gospel, R&B, and Jazz music.  He served and honored his country, serving in the U.S. Army and fighting in the Vietnam War. He assisted and helped those who were down on their luck, continuously giving and helping throughout his life.
