Obituary for Nolita Rene Cannon
Nolita Rene Cannon "Lovely Rene" age 54, passed away unexpectedly Friday November 27, 2020.
Rene was born in Columbus, OH to Vincent Wilson and Brenda Cannon November 4, 1966. She attended Columbus Public Schools and worked various jobs, but spent the last 16+ years at Chase and then later with Huntington.
Rene lived her life to the fullest. She loved to travel, especially to her favorite home away from home, Jamaica. She also enjoyed reading, karaoke and spending time with her grandson Alizah.
Rene was very involved and committed to her AA family. She spent time traveling and speaking at various AA conferences throughout Ohio.
Rene was preceded in death by her grandmother Pearlie Harper and mother Brenda Drakeford. She was survived by her father Vincent (Francine) Wilson, children Rayn and Brenna Cannon, Step Father John Drakeford, siblings Tonya (Shawn) Reese, Karla (Galen) Hancock-Gibbs, Mattie (Arshenda) Street, Matika Garrison, Levon (Kenda) Alexander, John Drakeford III, grandson Alizah Jones and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.
Services will be held at Caliman Funeral Services 3700 Refugee Rd. Columbus, OH 43232. Friday, December 11, 2020. Visitation 3pm - 4pm, followed by a Private Family Funeral Service at 4pm.
Due to COVID restrictions there will be no Repast.
