Obituary for MIKLOS FRANKLIN "MIKE" DENTON

Miklos "Mike" Franklin Denton was born October 29, 1961 to Imogene Hogg and James Denton in Columbus Ohio. On Monday September 8th he was called home to enteral rest with his Lord and Savior. He attended Brookhaven High School where he played football and set many records in track under the nick name of Bust’n Loose. Following high school, he serviced in the Army Reserve for 2 years and then decided to go into the truck driving world. Mike obtained his CDL’s and took off driving for various companies and traveling.

Family was important to Mike, he loved spending time with his 3 daughters. He then moved to Springfield where he married his wife Racquel and added 2 more children to his family.
When Mike was not with his family, he spent a lot of time serving the Lord. He began singing with his mom at the tender age of 7. He played the keyboard and piano for several local churches in the Columbus area. He was a God-fearing man even up until the end. September of 2019 Mike’s health began to decline, he fought hard and long through the recovery process, but the Lord sought fit that he come home.

He is survived by wife, Racquel D. Denton; mother, Imogene Hogg-Denton; father, James Denton; brother, Nicklas (Tia) Denton; sister, Dyon Denton; 3 daughters Brooke Boyd, Octavia (Brad) Covington and Hennessy Denton; step son, Robert Dodson Jr; step daughter, Shyra (Jamie)Boulware; 7 grand children, 1 great grandson, several cousins, nieces, nephews, and many more family and friends.
