Miklos "Mike" Franklin Denton was born October 29, 1961 to Imogene Hogg and James Denton in Columbus Ohio. On Monday September 8th he was called home to enteral rest with his Lord and Savior. He attended Brookhaven High School where he played football and set many records in track under the nick name of Bust’n Loose. Following high school, he serviced in the Army Reserve for 2 years and then decided to go into the truck driving world. Mike obtained his CDL’s and took off driving for various companies and traveling.

Family was important to Mike, he loved spending time with his 3 daughters. He then moved to Springfield where he married his wife Racquel and added 2 more children to his family.
When Mike was not with his family, he spent a lot of time serving the Lord. He began singing with his mom at the tender age of 7. He played the keyboard and piano for several local churches in the Columbus area. He was a God-fearing man even up until the end. September of 2019 Mike’s health began to decline, he fought hard and long through the recovery process, but the Lord sought fit that he come home.

I have so many fond memories of Mike! He always had a smile and a twinkle in his eye and made everyone he interacted with know that they were special. He was one of the most genuine guys I have ever met! He was an outstanding athlete and the most humble and kind soul! Thoughts and prayers to his family. Lord, hear our Prayers!

It is with a heavy heart that I learned of Mike's passing. I have many wonderful memories of him from school (BHS). I know he is in his Father's kingdom and at peace. I will miss his beautiful smile and twinkle in his eye. God bless his family and give them comfort.

I did not know Miklos personally but know his aunt, Mary Wade, and his mother Imogene. I have known them both since I was a child. His aunt had advised me he was in ill health and I had been praying for him and his family. He has fought a good fight and has now gone on to receive the crown of life that God has for him. God bless his family. Gloria Pearson Bent, Columbia SC
