Obituary

Miekharry Adefemi Brice Sr., 24, passed away on August 16, 2020. Miekharry was born on March 12, 1996 to Kemi Fatimot Oshodi and Harry “Dread” Brice in Columbus, Ohio. At the age of 12, he moved to Nigeria, where he attended Kingsfield College, in Lagos, Nigeria. Miekharry started rapping at the age of seven, which was the start of his 17 year rapping career. He was a beloved rapper in Nigeria, where he was one of the 10 finalists at the 2013 edition of the Nokia Don’t Break Da Beat Rap competition organised in partnership with Trace TV.
He recorded his first album, “Prince of Hiphop” in Nigeria. He collaborated with multiple Nigerian artists, including Vector, Timmy Naija, Rizz, Scales, E-Twins, Kolade, and many others. He returned to the USA in February 2015. He worked for PNC Bank for two years and later became manager at Brothers Deliveries Inc. as he continued his rap career in America. He recorded 40 songs which appeared on SoundCloud. He won 2 rap battles in Columbus, and was the host the “614 Female Cypher” in 2016 and 2017. Miekharry would often go to the studio on Sundays to record his music. On March 12, 2020 he performed a show in Columbus.

In 2016, Miekharry met his fiancé (Per’China Daniel), through mutual friends and soon began dating. They were truly each other’s best friend. Miekharry was introduced to his eldest daughter when she was three years old, and showed her unconditional love ever since. On Valentine's Day of 2019, Miekharry proposed to Per’China.

The two created a strong partnership and foundation in which they would continue to grow their family and raise their three beautiful children. (Amaya, Miekharry Jr., and Miekailey).

Miekharry was a very involved father and his children were his world. Saturdays were dedicated solely to spending time with his family. They would go on trips and enjoy fun activities together like arcades and amusement centers.

Miekharry valued the closeness he had with his sisters . He found great joy in the trust and love of them. He always wanted to make them proud. Miekharry also mentored many young men, including his younger cousins. He also loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and watching them grow. Miekharry would often spend quality time with his uncle in which they shared their mutual love for music. was so full of knowledge and wisdom. He was always smiling. Miekharry was also an avid chess player and soccer player. He loved learning, especially science.

In addition to his grandfathers and one of his grandmothers, Miekharry was preceded in his death by his older brothers, James-Michael Brice and Harry Brice. He will be dearly missed by his parents, Kemi Oshodi, Harry Brice Sr., grandmother, Faosat Oshodi, his fiancé Per’China Daniel, his children Amaya Daniel, Miekharry Brice Jr., and Miekailey Brice, his sisters DeVashia Brice, Kemarry Brice, Sabitarry Brice and Hope Brice, nieces, Kairee Stirtmire, Hariyah Brice, Hailey Brice-Smoot, Harmoni Brice, nephews, Harry Brice Jr. and Harry Brice-Smoot, uncles, Tunji Oshodi, Wale Oshodi, and Majid Whitney, Aunts Adeola Whitney and Adeyemi Oshodi, cousins, Cameron Oshodi, Taleya Oshodi, Tunji Oshodi, Cristian Oshodi, Fihin Oshodi, Taj Whitney, Jahi Whitney and Cy Whitney.
