Obituary for MICHAEL ANTHONY HOGAN

Michael Anthony Hogan was born on November 6, 1987. Michael was affectionately known as ‘Mike-Mike’ and was a life long resident of Columbus, Ohio. Mike-Mike died unexpectedly on June 2, 2020. Mike-Mike is preceded in death by his parents Nigeria ‘Na-Na’ Renaee Hogan and Michael E. Carpenter. Maternal Grandparents Clifford ‘Poochie’ L. Riggins, Alma R. Paulin, and Carla D. Carter. Paternal Grandfather Lesley E. Dillard. Maternal Great-Grandmother Daisy Mae Riggins, Uncles Judge and Herbert Riggins. Paternal Great-Grandparents Harold and Julia Carpenter. Mike-Mike is survived by his children Michael Anthony Jr., A’Nilyah ‘Fatty’ Mi’Angel, and McKenzie Ay’Lena Hogan. Siblings - Chantal Guice, Cachet (Brent) Barber, Zaire Hogan, Zyshonne Ward, Miles Storey, and Marjahnah Solomon, Paternal Grandmother Jacqueline Collins.
Mike-Mike was an extremely intelligent young man with a calm and sweet demeanor. Mike-Mike had an adventurous spirit, would often explore the city, and loved his family. Mike-Mike enjoyed bike riding from childhood to adulthood. Michael attended Barrett Middle School and is in the Guinness Book of World Records for his Spelling Bee record. Michael graduated from Job Corp in Kentucky with a degree in Carpentry. At the time of Michael’s death he was an employee at Spartan Logistics.
Michael was a loving son, father, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, and friend. Michael has
10 aunts and 5 uncles with other 70 cousins. Michael has a large family and was deeply
loved by all.
