Obituary for Lynn Jeanette Williams

Lynn J Williams passed on October 24, 2019. She was born in Zanesville, Ohio. Her family moved to Columbus and she attended school here. She was a 1974 graduate of Eastmoor High School and graduated from The Ohio State University in 1978 with a B.S. degree in Social Work and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Following her passions, she immediately went to work for the Dept. of Youth Services. During her 30 years with the state of Ohio, she often received awards and accolades for her tireless efforts and dedication to helping youth thrive. After retiring, Lynn continued working with programs helping youth in Ohio. One could always count on Lynn for a positive word and help with anything she could provide.*** She work with several ministries in her church including the food pantry, senior and youth groups, teaching Sunday School, VBS and was always in the nursery. Lynn enjoyed many activities including bowling and dancing, among her family and many friends she was known as “the dancing queen”. She loved her family very much and was beloved by all who knew her. She is survived by her four children Levonn Britt, LeShawn, Leanne and Lequan Williams, her seven grandchildren LeReal and Leovonne Britt, Mikiya and Mikayla Carmichael, William, Jada and Sincere Williams, her parents, sisters and brothers, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
