Obituary for Linda Marie Shepherd (Anderson)
Linda Marie Shepherd, second of three children born to the union of Robert C. Anderson and Elizabeth B. Harris on Sept. 3, 1958 in Columbus, OH. Linda received her call to the Lord peacefully on Feb. 25, 2021 at Mt. Carmel East hospital, Columbus, OH. Linda was educated in the Columbus Public School System and graduated from Eastmoor Sr. High School in June 1976.
Linda accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at an early age at Second Baptist Church in Columbus, OH. Linda later joined First Baptist Church in Columbus OH where she served faithfully and was a former member of the Trustee Board, founder of the Young Men’s Usher Board, teaching them structure and discipline. She was a passionate member of the Women’s Ministry, while serving under Linda started and ran the Star House Youth Ministry
of Columbus OH providing lunch once a month to homeless youth of Columbus for nine years. Linda’s biggest Blessing was born to her 37 yrs. ago, her Son Adrian Alexander Shepherd. She devoted her life to loving him and was passionate about his well being.
Linda was a veteran of the USAF where she served at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX as a OB medic for her entire enlistment. Linda was retired from the State of Ohio where she gave her service for 35 years, as a Supervisor in the Medicaid system.
Proceeded in death by: Parents, Robert C. Anderson and Elizabeth B. Harris, and step father, Wilbur R. Harris.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted Son Adrian Shepherd, siblings, Michael Anderson and Vicki Anderson. Step siblings, Tia Harris Roseboro, Phala (Todd) Talbert, and Kyle (Jonise) Harris. God Children, Shawn Burrs and Julia Burrs. Special Life Long Friends, Venai Burrs, Waukina Curtis, Sharon Perkins and Ronnie Gooch. Those close to her heart, Rudy Carter, Joe Carmichael and Catherine Cain. Uncle Richard Hopson and a host of beloved cousins.
