LINDA LUCILLE MCDONALD was the third child born to Paul and Marcia Dexter Conrad on July 21, 1950 in Nelsonville, Ohio. Her graduating Class of 1968 was the inaugural class of the Nelsonville-York High School. She remained in this small, loving community, except for a 10 year period in California, until 2018. It was also here that she would choose to raise, with the support of her family, her three children, Stephen, Corey and Vonnie. As a single-mother, Linda worked tirelessly to provide for her children and ultimately retired from Ohio University with 33 years of dedicated service.

For everyone who knew her as Linda, Linny, Aunt Lin, Lucy, Nana or most importantly Mom, enough cannot be said of the ways in which she personified “love”, God’s Love. She gave her time, talents and resources to those that needed it most – college kids far from home, friends in need of a last-minute seamstress or a sweet treat, a community in need of food while serving as the Community Dinner Director for the G.W.O.WC. (Formerly First Baptist Church), a warm hug or a listening ear. She always had a beautiful smile to offer all who crossed her path. Most notably, Linda poured herself out for her family. She successfully raised three kids on her own and while they were not rich monetarily, they were rich with love and did not want for a thing. She was Mom, ‘Dad’, Daughter, Sister, Friend and Neighbor. She truly was our Superwoman. She was preceded in death by her parents: Paul and Marcia Dexter Conrad; siblings: Marcia (Jerry) Primes, Paul “Big” (Evie) Conrad, Deborah (Isaac) Polley Hinton, Brett Conrad; nephews: Tyrone Conrad, Raylan Primes and Carlton Polley. And special in-laws Jerry Primes, Gene & Aurbera (McDonald) Vassar, and Roger Ellison.

Celebrating her life and cherishing her memories include her children: Stephen Netter, Jr. of Menifee, California, Paul “Corey” McDonald of Columbus, Ohio, Vonetta “Vonnie” McDonald of Pickerington, Ohio and “bonus” son Cameron Francis; grandchildren: Logan Netter of Menifee, California, Jordan (Ashley) Netter of Norfolk, Virginia, Trevon (Alexis) McDonald of Columbus, Ohio and Christian Francis of Pickerington, Ohio and “bonus” grands Tiara Calhoun and Jayden
Coffman; great grandchildren: Aamiyah Netter, Adalynn Netter, Zara Wedemeyer-McDonald and Zadie Wedemeyer-McDonald; siblings: Dexter Conrad, Candace Ellison, Toni (AJ) Saunders and Michael (Mary) Conrad. And special in-laws: Evie Conrad, Jeanette McDonald, Isaac Hinton and a host of loving family and friends.
