Jeanette Hugley (Simpson) passed away on Saturday September 3, 2022. She was 76 years of age. Jeanette was born to Lawrence Henry and Anne Mae Simpson on Wednesday April 24,1946 in Columbus Ohio.
Our beloved Jeanette Hugley(Simpson) is proceeded in death by her parents, Lawrence H. and Anna Mae Simpson; John L. Hugley Sr. husband of 28 years and companion of 20 years or more Andrew Clark; sisters, Barbara Ann Scott(Simpson), Helen Upshaw and Gracie Mae Griffin; brothers, Richard L. Simpson, Lawrence W. Simpson(Bubber) and William E. Simpson; and brother In laws, Honorable Judge William L. Briggs and Damon Scott.
Jeanette leaves to cherish her memories hr sons, John L. Hugley(wife Tina), Shawn M. Hugley and daughter, Sherry R. Hugley and a host of grand, great grand kids, nieces, nephews, great, great great nieces and nephews. Jeanette was proudly to be apart of the Simpson Family Reunion with the History of holding 129 consecutive year(2nd longest in the US)and still growing.
Jeanette attended Douglas Elementary and East High School, Columbus famous East High Tigers, which Jeanette thought very highly of like any other Tiger would. Jeanette later graduated from North adult school of Columbus Ohio in 1982 at the top of her class Jeanette worked at Lazarus Downtown Columbus for 12 years. She started in 1970 as a telephone operator and Information Rep(little red boxes by the escalators). Jeanette was very devoted to her job so devoted Mr. Lazarus himself ave Mom a $.50 raise himself. In1983 she started with AT&T thanks to her close friends little PAT. Jeanette devoted a lot of overtime and made many accomplishments she traveled to different states to represent AT&T as business and pleasure for herself. Jeanette showed great leadership to all her coworkers with respect and respect in returned she loved you all. Years ago Mom said AT&T would be on top. Thanks!
Jeanette a member of Holy Roseary St. Johns Church Evangelist Catholic Church since 1971. Jeanette served on the Parish Council and the Service group as the president she also made sure to attend church every Sunday and any day of the week if there was Service or an event taking place, and she believed her week just would not go right. Devoted Member. Her quote, "Everybody need a little Jesus in their life."
