Obituary for JAMES MICHAEL CHISHOLM

James, 69, left us on September 1, 2020 with his daughter and family by his side at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Brain & Spine Hospital.
James Michael Chisholm, nicknamed “Jimmy”, was born July 4, 1951 in Columbus, Ohio. He previously lived in LaMarque, Texas and the Clear Lake/Houston area for 32 years but moved back to his birth city in the summer of 2011.
He had uprooted his family in 1979 to further his and Beverly’s career in Texas City (Galveston), Texas. He worked at the well known Texas City Refinery Plant for a few years, then changed careers to devote more time with his family at the Pepsi and 7Up Bottling Company. After years of working there, he went on to do what he so loved, working on cars. He became a full time mechanic and supervisor at Duval’s Garage of LaMarque, Texas for over 10 years till his health started failing and he had to retire early.
Church affiliation: Baptist - Bethany Baptist Church (Columbus, Ohio). He was baptized at the age of 10.
James is preceded in death by his parents, James G. and LeeIda (Fadis) Chisholm.
Survived by his daughter, Angela (Emanuel) Chisholm-Hembrey of Richmond, Texas; grandchildren, Michael Fisher II of Katy, Texas and Mikaell (Joshua) Scott of San Antonio, Texas; great grand-children, Gavin Michael Fisher (Michael) and Xavier A. Scott (Mikaell); sister, Chiquita L. Chisholm of Columbus, Ohio; brother, Glenn W. Chisholm of Columbus, Ohio; nephews, Chief (Terena) Wells and Reggie (Bettye) Wells; niece, Kendra Bryant, all of Columbus, Ohio.
