Obituary for HUBERT MINOR ""BUTCH"" MANN II

HUBERT MINOR MANN II, also known as ‘Butch,’ was born in Akron, Ohio, on Friday, October 15, 1943, to Hubert Mann and Iris Humphrey Mann. As a child, his dad taught him how to play the guitar, which he would soon master. Upon graduating from high school, Butch traveled the world with Ruby & the Romantics, which led to playing with other groups such as The Chiffons, The Drifters, and singer, Miss Dionne Warwick. In 1964, Butch married Judy Craig and lived in New York for years until divorcing. He later married Lynette Orelona Jackson in 1985. They resided in Detroit until her demise on March 17, 2014. After working many years at Nationwide Services, Butch retired but never stopped playing his guitar. He would play every Sunday at his church. He loved the Lord and served as a member of The Church of God in Christ for over thirty years. Butch also had a love for football, fishing, cooking, and writing. Blessed with 77 years of life, our beloved Butch entered eternal life on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynette Mann; father, Hubert Mann; grandmother, Mattie Humphrey; mother, Iris Humphrey Savage; sister, Sonia Smith; and niece, Rachel Walker.
