Helene Gunnell, age 67, departed this earth on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital after an extended fight with diabetes. She attended Linden McKinley High School. Helene’s travels in life took her many places and allowed her to make friends on every road she took. She always stayed in touch with many of them and she enjoyed a wide circle of friends. Her love of family was fierce as she displayed many virtues taught to her by her mother and father. Predeceased by her grandparents, par- ents, Charles A. and Anna- belle B. Gunnell; daughter, Danita R. Gunnell; and brother, Jeffrey L. Gunnell. Survived by devoted son, Charles A. Gunnell, III; devoted granddaughter, Jazmin Gunnell; grandson, Frederick L. Washing- ton, III; brothers, Steven Gunnell and Charles A. (Theresa) Gunnell, Jr; spe- cial friend, Evangelist Toni Williams; and several close cousins, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
