Obituary for Gale Ann Hood (Dansby)

GALE ANN HOOD was a daughter, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, an aunt, and a friend. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on Friday, June 23, 1950, to Helen and James Freeman. Gale graduated from Glenville High School. She met her husband, Mr. Franklin David, Sr., at the Ashtabula County Fair. They fell in love and moved to Columbus, Ohio where they started their family. The couple was blessed with four beautiful children.

Gale was employed as a STNA at Alum Crest Nursing Home. However, she retired from Lydall Westex as an automotive assembly line worker. In her leisure, she loved to bake and cook. Gale enjoyed playing cards and Dominos on a Friday night, for it was her joy to be around family, especially her grandchildren of whom she dearly loved.

Our beloved Gale A. Hood went home to glory on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. She passed away peacefully at home. She was 70 years of age. In addition to her parents, Gale was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin David, Sr.; sister, Linda Suber; and grandchildren, Evelan Rene Hood and Gale Nicole Hood.

Loving memories are cherished by her children, Helena Milton, Frankie (Jay) Thurman-Hood, Tiffany Hood, Franklin David Jr., and Franklin David IV; grandchildren, Freddy, Michael, Damian, Jamie, Alante, James, Markquinn, Ra’Cheal, Da’Vyon, and Blessing; 22 great grandchildren; a host of other family members and many friends. Gale left an ever-lasting impression. She will always be loved and missed, but never forgotten. WE LOVE YOU MOM!
