Eleanor Ernestine (Cundiff) Reed was born January 25, 1937 to John and Sadie Coziean Cundiff in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina. Eleanor grew up in Columbus, Ohio and attended Columbus Public Schools and completed her education at East High School. She passed away March 6, 2020.
Eleanor was a member of St. Paul AME Church for over 50 years. She served as a stewardess. She was a member of the Women's Missionary Society, Women's Chorale, Senior Usher Board and the Servanus Club.
Eleanor is preceded in death by father, John Cundiff; mother, Sadie Coziean Cundiff; former husbands, John Lacey and Russell Reed; daughter, Beverly Lacey; and grandson, Kenny Lacey.
She is survived by her daughter, Angela (Rodney) Van Cleaf; son, Elijah Masathi; brother, Harold Cundiff; grandchildren, Arelle (Robert) Sowell, Ashley Van Cleaf, Alexis Van Cleaf, Rodney Van Cleaf, Jr. and Marc Lacey and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, family and friends.
