Obituary for DWAYNE ANTHONY McLEISH

Dwayne A. McLeish, age 19, passed away Nov. 7, 2020, at his home. He was born December 22, 2000, in Kingston, Jamaica to Dwayne McLeish and Latoya Edwards. He lived with his father, stepmother, grandmother, and four siblings. Dwayne graduated from Reynoldsburg high school Bell Academy in June of 2020. He has been described as a loving person with a good heart. While he had 12 siblings of his own, he was also considered an older brother to his friends, who looked to him for advice and comfort in times of uncertainty. To his own siblings, Dwayne was protective and affectionate. He spoke to his siblings in Jamaica over the phone, kept up with their lives, and supported them whenever he could. For his siblings with whom he shared a home, Dwayne was always present. On weekends he stayed up watching movies with his little sisters and played games with them into the night. Dwayne was a creative and artistic person. In his room, there are piles of sketches and paintings. A guitar lays in the closet and a camera could always be found in his hands. Dwayne lived his life with a bright and contagious smile on his face that he passed on to everyone he came into contact with. Dwayne is survived by his parents, Dwayne McLeish and Latoya Edwards, as well as his stepmother Tiana McLeish. He is also survived by his sisters; Dwaysha, Lexina, Dayna, and Deā€™Asia McLeish, and many other siblings.
