Delores Anne Blakey of Columbus, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2020 at the age of 73. Delores was born on November 16th, 1946 in Lynchburg, Virginia where she attended Dunbar High School. Delores then married and moved to Columbus, Ohio. She worked in the Healthcare Field for over twenty years. Delores enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the Casino. She was known for her quick wit, infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit. As her health declined, Delores never let pain define her. The courage and strength shown through her illness inspired those around her and as the days pass let the memories of Delores Anne Blakey provide us with comfort and serve as guidance living on forever in our minds. Delores was proceeded in death by her parents James and Annie Bell and only brother John Bell and her Grandson Herman Blakey-Anderson. She will be dearly missed by her Daughters Selena and Kimberly Blakey both of Columbus, Ohio. Grandchildren Ja'Lyque Blakey, Angelica (Marques) Dotson, Charonne (Carl) Peyton, Kyesha Blakey, Sherman Blakey-Anderson. Great Grandchildren Michael, A'Nilyah and McKenzie Hogan, Lala Rose, Nehemiah and Gabriel Peyton, Jacob Anderson, Briell and Aubrea Blakey-Anderson, Sherman Blakey-Anderson Jr. Sisters Beluah Rivers, Emma Bradley, Cynthia Tolliver, Vernetta Bell, Lynn Bell, Rosemary Harris, Karen Warren and A host of extended Family and Friends. Delores was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.
