Obituary for DALAN HARDIN OULDS-WELLMAN

Dalan Hardin Oulds-Wellman was a gift from God to his parents on December 14, 1998, in Columbus, Ohio. Dalan was the son of David R. Wellman and Billi J. Oulds.

Dalan was raised to be a God fearing, praying young man. Dalan believed, knew to put God first and then his family. He always put others' needs before his own, the one to look out for the underdog. You could best be sure if you didn’t have, as long as he did, you did. He would give you his very last, even the shoes off his feet. Dalan was truly a protector of his family and friends. Always taking the time to enjoy being with his younger brothers, being his brothers’ keeper. Others' well being was his top priority. He even had the foresight, the heart, thinking about others at such a young age, by being an organ donor. Dalan’s selfless act saved many lives in his passing.

Dalan was a 2017 graduate of Patriot Preparatory Academy. After graduation, Dalan was employed by the Laborers Local 423. Dalan was a hard-worker, saving his money looking to one day move to California to pursue his dreams in music. Besides music, he loved playing basketball, hanging out at home where many Madden competitions went on with his father and brothers, as well as one-on-one Uno matches with his Dad. Dalan enjoyed great home-cooking, but wouldn’t pass up Raising Cane’s for nothing. He was also a germaphobe, which he was teased regularly about by family and friends.

Dalan truly left a forever lasting impression on all lives he came in contact with, no matter how long the time spent. He never met a real stranger, taking time from whatever he was doing to just talk to someone. Anyone would testify to instantly feeling a connection to his pure heart.

Dalan was tragically taken from us on Sunday, July 26, 2020.
