Arlinda Marie Lindsey, 64, passed away Friday January 22, 2021. She was born February 26, 1956 to Bishop Levert and Mother Katherine Golden in Columbus, Ohio. As one of eleven children, Arlinda Golden-Lindsey was known for her bright smile, natural generosity, subtle wisdom and clever comebacks. Arlinda attended technical college and Columbus State University. She worked in cosmetology until joining the hospitality industry and later retired from the GAP, Inc. Arlinda was an avid reader who wrote poetry, traveled extensively, and ran a marathon. She also enjoyed Gospel music, watching crime shows, thrifting and especially enjoyed attending The Home Church and spending time with relatives and friends.

Arlinda was preceded in death by her parents Mr. Levert and Mrs. Katherine Golden, along with four brothers: Homer, Willie, Raymond, and Richard Golden. She leaves to cherish her memory four children: Steven Neil Golden, Syrita Marie Lindsey, John Neil Lindsey, and Eugene (Tiffani) Lindsey, all of Columbus; eight grandchildren: Brianna Clement, Davaughn Golden, Joshua Golden, Savanna Golden, Winston Lindsey, Reagan Lindsey, and Arliyah Golden of Columbus; six siblings: Ruth Frazier of Weptumka, Alabama; Mary Jean Lloyd, Ettawese Hamilton, Levert Golden, Jr, John C. Golden, and Vinell Golden all of Columbus; one sister-in-law, Luvenia (Willie*) Golden; her best friend Rebecca Gravely, and a host of other friends and relatives.

Family will receive friends at First Church of God, 3480 Refugee Road Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday January 30, 2021 at 10AM for a walk-through viewing, followed by the funeral at 11AM where safety protocols will be followed.
