Obituary for Ada Laverne Cummings (Fullen)

Minister Ada Laverne Fullen Cummings was born in Columbus, OH on January 12, 1947. She was the daughter of the late Otto Hendrick Fullen and Irene Sally (Higdon) Fullen. Ada graduated from East High School and the Ohio State School of Cosmetology. She formerly owned and operated Cummings Assisted Living and was currently self-employed as an Independent Health Care Provider for the State of Ohio.

Ada accepted Christ at any early age. She was a former member of Empowerment Church and while there she became a licensed Minister and enjoyed teaching Bible Study. She later became a faithful member of Trailblazers Church Columbus. Ada loved the Lord and enjoyed studying the Bible, reading the newspaper, caring for her patient, Kim Hale, writing gospel songs and poetry. Ada cherished the quality time she spent with her family and friends.

Ada went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 9, 2022. She was seveny five years of age. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, James "Jim" Cummings; and sister, Jacqueline Boyle.

She leaves to cherish her memory, sister, Marilyn Weaver; nephews, Bryan (LaDonne) Fullen, Michael Fulllen and Brent Fullen; niece, Marla (Kenneth) Caver; godson, Kevin Cook; goddaughter, Cori "CoCo" Harris; life long friend and sister in Christ, Patricia McCall-Steele; and a host of great nephews, great nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.
