| Barbara A. Caliman Barbara Caliman is Co-Owner, wife of Thomas and Office Administrator. After retiring from Human Services she came to work for Caliman Funeral Services. She enjoys serving Christ, her family, and music (listening, playing directly, and singing it). Barbara has attended Ohio University of Zanesville and Zane State College and is always looking for increased knowledge. She heartily endorses keeping children busy |
| J. Richard Caliman Richard Caliman is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. He is also licensed to sell Final Expense Funeral Arrangements and assists in selling monuments. He has served at Caliman Funeral Services during the past 6 years. He enjoys and counts it a privilege to serve families in any and all of these capacities. Richard was born and raised in Zanesville , Ohio. He relocated to the Columbus area after mortuary school in 1998. Richard completed his Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Clarion University, Clarion, PA in 1994. He also holds an Associate of Applied Science in Mortuary Science form Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Over the past 13 years he has worked in various capacities in the funeral industry. Richard is the eldest son of Thomas and Barbara Caliman, the owners of Caliman Funeral Services. Richard resides in Canal Winchester, Ohio and is father to three daughters, Mecca, Kenya, and Paris. |
| T.C. Aaron Caliman Thomas Christopher Aaron (Aaron) Caliman has been working for our firm since December, 2005. He is currently attending Zane State College in pursuit of an Associates Degree in Sports/ Fitness Management. He plans to obtain his mortuary degree at Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Afterward, Aaron desires to continue a full-time career in the mortuary business. Aaron enjoys spending quality time with his new daughter, Taleese and his family. He also enjoys watching The Ohio State Buckeyes football team. GO BUCKS! |
| S. Bertram Robinson During the past six years, S. Bertram Robinson has served as the primary business consultant and Director of Operations for Caliman Funeral Services. He is responsible for advising our CEO in all areas of business planning, budgeting, and operation. Bert coordinates activities for long and short range planning, positions descriptions staff training and development, subcontracts, and community relations. Bert is a strong Christian and competent professional. He is the founder and President of His Vision Enterprises and holds a BA from the University of Akron and an MS from Case Western Reserve University. His professional background includes work in the areas of juvenile corrections, community organization and social planning, social research, individual and group counseling, and professional tennis instruction. Bert resides in Pickerington, Ohio with his wife, Debbie, who serves as World Languages Consultant for the Ohio Department of Education. |
| Brenda Cherry Brenda Cherry is presently serving an apprenticeship with Caliman Funeral Services to become a licensed funeral director and embalmer. Brenda received her Bachelor’s Degree in Mortuary Science from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. She received a BSN degree from Mt. Carmel College of Nursing. She is a retired registered nurse. Brenda has a daughter and two grandchildren that she loves and enjoys. Brenda also loves traveling, music, and spending quality time with her family and friends. |
| Patricia A. Hunt Patricia is a highly motivated, dedicated and hard working individual who takes pride in her works and excels for high performance standards. Patricia has been a property manager and has managed over 250 units. She also worked as an assistant teacher with the MRDD population. Patricia is a funeral assistant of Caliman Funeral Services and has been with the firm since October 2007. |
| Kevin L. Estis Kevin Estis is a funeral assistant of Caliman Funeral Services and has been with the firm since 2008. Before coming to work at Calimans, Kevin worked as a cremation technician with the Veterinary Cremation Service. |

| Sylvester Lee Harrington, Jr. Sylvester Harrington is the owner of Harrington Limousine Services. He has been in the limousine business since 1999 and contributes his success to his professionalism and dependability. The Harrington Limousine Service has provided services to Caliman Funeral Services for the past 7 years. His ability to multitask his job responsibilities includes lead driver, driver assignments, and vehicle maintenance, providing additional limousines from his personal fleet, and assisting Caliman staff during services. Sylvester is the eldest son of eight siblings relocated to Columbus, Ohio from Miami, Florida. In Sylvester’s younger years he lived with his grandmother Fannie McClain. After attending Bexley High School, he joined the armed forces Navy Branch, and is currently retired from Laborers’ District Council and Contractors of Ohio through Laborers International Union of North America Local 423 AFL CIO after 30 years of service. Sylvester and wife Freda J. Harrington enjoy spending time with family and traveling. Wife Freda is also retired from Discover Card Financial Services after 18 years of service. Sylvester enjoys watching and attending sporting events when he is not behind the wheel of one of his limousines. |
| Imogene J. Denton Imogene J. Denton is better known as Ms. D, Momma D, or Sis. D, she is also the mother of 5 children, in which 2 are involved in the funeral business. In 1955 after graduating from Central High School, Imogene attended a practical school of nursing and was employed with several different hospitals (OSU, Benjamin Franklin TB, and Mt. Carmel) over 15 years. After a few persuasions I was convinced that the Columbus Public School System needed my expertise in math and teaching. Imogene worked 40 years in four different elementary schools (Gladstone, Hamilton, Brentnell, and Douglas) loving and teaching her students. While working for the CPS system Imogene was encouraged to become a staff member of McNabb Funeral Home. Imogene worked with McNabb Funeral Home for 15 years before she decided to retire. To fulfill my desire to serve people I consented to the call of Porter Qualls. She later accepted and invitation to be a part of the Caliman staff. Imogene loves sports, and loves to sing. |
